Within the framework of the project of the United Nations Development Program Georgia (UNDP) with the financial support of the Swiss Development and Cooperation Agency (SDC) (“Modernization of Vocational Education and Training system (VET) related to agriculture in Georgia) the Agricultural Extension packages were elaborated by ADA packages in the following agricultural fields:
- Blackberry production
- Viticulture;
- Blueberry production;
- Hazelnut production;
- Production of pistachios.
The above-mentioned Agricultural Extension packages were elaborated in accordance to the methodological guide-document created by the ADA.
Agro-extension packages are defined for a specific target area and are adapted to the existing agro-climatic conditions and the specifics of the area. The purpose of their formation is to strengthen the capacity of municipal and regional agro-consulting services of the Ministry of Environment and Agriculture.
Each package includes needs assessment results, recommended service delivery mechanisms, on-site technology options, and manufacturing best practices.
